Devils Tower

President Theodore Roosevelt established Devils Tower National Monument on September 24, 1906. The spectacular rock formation known as Devils Tower and the surrounding countryside, home to a myriad of plant and animal life, attract visitors from around the world. Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, just a stones throw east of the Wyoming border, Jewel Cave National Monument is one of the best caves in the National Park system, and a fascinating attraction to see.  One of Jewel Cave's most remarkable facts is that it was only discovered in 1900. 

DC Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery

Established in 1896, D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery, formerly Spearfish National Fish Hatchery, is one of the oldest operating hatcheries in the country dedicated to fish culture and resource management. The hatchery was constructed to propagate, stock, and establish trout populations in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. After a very successful fish production history, the hatchery ceased operations in the mid-80's and reopened with a new mission and partnerships to help preserve the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's historic and cultural heritage.
